...Like Clockwork

...Like Clockwork is the forthcoming sixth studio album by American rock band Queens of the Stone Age, due for release on June 3, 2013 on Matador Records. Self-produced by the band, it is the first Queens of the Stone Age album to feature full contributions from bassist Michael Shuman and keyboardist and guitarist Dean Fertita, who both joined the band in 2007 to tour in support of its fifth studio album, Era Vulgaris (2007), and recorded its bonus tracks.

The band began recording ...Like Clockwork in November 2011, initially hoping that collaborator Trent Reznor would produce the album. Following a tumultuous recording period, which included the departure of long-time drummer Joey Castillo, founding member Josh Homme described the album as "documenting the journey of moving forward, you know. It was a tough time and I thought, 'I can run away from this, or I can run into it

Era Vulgaris

Era Vulgaris is the fifth full length studio album by American rock band Queens of the Stone Age. The album was completed in early April 2007 and released on June 8, 2007 in some countries, June 11, 2007 in the United Kingdom and June 12, 2007 in the United States. The tracks "Sick, Sick, Sick" and "3's & 7's" were released as singles in early June, with a third single "Make It wit Chu" released around Halloween of 2007.

The album debuted at #14 on the US Billboard 200 charts selling 52,000 copies in its first week,which was a decline in comparison to the previous album, which opened at #5 with 91,000 copies sold in its debut week.In other countries it has reached much loftier debut positions, mostly in the top ten, such as number five in Canada where it sold approximately 10,000 copies in its opening week.

Lullabies to Paralyze

Lullabies to Paralyze is the fourth studio album by Queens of the Stone Age, released on March 21, 2005.  The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200, and sold 97,000 copies in America during its first week of release, eventually topping over 342,000 copies as of March, 2007 according to Nielsen Soundscan. It is the highest charting Queens of the Stone Age album to date. The album has been certified gold in the UK, where it has sold over 100,000 units. It is also the band's first album to be released after Nick Oliveri was fired from the band. Josh Homme and Mark Lanegan are the only members from the previous album, Songs for the Deaf, to play on this album and it's the first album to feature drummer Joey Castillo and guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen.

Songs for the Deaf

Songs for the Deaf is the third studio album by American rock band Queens of the Stone Age. Released on August 27, 2002, the album features Foo Fighters and former Nirvana member Dave Grohl as a guest drummer. Like their other albums, Songs for the Deaf has a large number of guest musicians, a signature of the band's releases. Following the breakthrough Rated R, this album is widely regarded as Queens of the Stone Age's best work, garnering near-universal acclaim from critics, whilst earning the band's first gold record certification in the US, having sold 986,000 copies in the country and 1.000.000 in Europe platinum certification IFPI in 2008. Today, it is generally considered to be one of the greatest rock albums of the 2000s. Songs for the Deaf is loosely considered as a concept album, taking the listener on a drive from Los Angeles to Joshua Tree while tuning into radio stations from towns on the way such as Banning and the "Bible Belt" on "God Is In The Radio" and Chino Hills, California.

Rated R

Rated R (also called R) is the second studio album by American rock band Queens of the Stone Age. It was released on June 6, 2000 through Interscope Records. Rated R was a critical and commercial success and became the band's breakthrough album. It peaked at number 16 on the Top Heatseekers and reached high positions on charts worldwide. The album has been certified silver in the United Kingdom. Three singles were released from it: "The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret", "Feel Good Hit of the Summer" and "Monsters in the Parasol", with the first helping Queens of the Stone Age reach mainstream popularity. Rated R is the band's first album to feature Nick Oliveri.

Biography

 Queens of the Stone Age is an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States, formed in 1996. The band's line-up includes founder Josh Homme (lead vocals, guitar), alongside longtime members Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar, lap steel, backing vocals), Michael Shuman (bass guitar, backing vocals), Dean Fertita (keyboards, guitar, percussion, backing vocals) and recent addition Jon Theodore (drums, percussion).

Formed after the dissolution of Homme's previous band, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy rock music. Their sound has since evolved to incorporate a variety of different styles and influences, including working with ZZ Topmember Billy Gibbons and steady contributor Mark Lanegan.
